Victoria Kjaer Theilvig, the reigning Miss Universe 2024, recently visited Belitung Island and Tanjung Kelayang Reserve (TKR) for an exclusive video shoot. The breathtaking landscapes of TKR, with its pristine waters and unspoiled beaches, provided the perfect backdrop for the production.

During her visit, she also explored our conservation area, Tempat Berkesinambungan, where she took part in an important ecological initiative. In a meaningful gesture of environmental stewardship, Victoria planted a Pelepak tree—a critically endangered species listed on the IUCN Red List. We are committed to nurturing this rare tree and ensuring its protection within our reserve, contributing to the preservation of Belitung’s natural heritage.

On October 13, 2024, the inaugural Road to Give running event took place at the stunning Tanjung Kelayang Reserve. Organized by Sheraton Belitung Resort in collaboration with Fairfield Hotel Belitung, the event attracted over 300 enthusiastic runners.

Participants had the opportunity to choose between two challenging yet rewarding routes: a 5K and a 10K. The course, which wound its way through the picturesque Tanjung Kelayang Reserve, offered a diverse running experience, traversing asphalt roads, unique tanah puru terrain, and pristine white sandy beaches.

The event concluded with a celebratory gathering at Sheraton Belitung Resort, where participants enjoyed entertainment and camaraderie along with the organizers . The success of the Road to Give event marks the beginning of a promising annual tradition. The organizers hope to expand the event in the coming years, attracting more participants and contributing even more to charitable causes.
